HP recently launched a new Generation of servers called Gen8. These servers are aimed to benefit organizations in many ways including, lifecycle automation, dynamic workload acceleration, automated energy optimization, and proactive service and support.

The new servers will offer data center-wide, end-to-end energy management, which will result in new energy optimized technology included in the servers. The Gen8 servers will also include a converged system platform which has been designed for the needs of virtualized environments, cloud deployments and the most demanding data center and workloads available.

What do you think? Do HP’s Gen8 servers sound like something that could improve your data center, and it is ripe? Or is this hype?

For more information about HP’s Gen8 servers join the Gen8 Virtual event this Wednesday, June 20th. “It’s Time to Get Automated!” will feature, Duane Winslow, an IT infrastructure expert, discussing the “Business Ready” nature of the Gen8 servers from HP. It’s not too late to register!
