BYOD is becoming increasingly more and more popular every day. In fact a CIO survey conducted at Gartner Summits indicated that 80% of the global workforce will be eligible to participate in a BYOD program by 2014.

While BYOD is helpful in increasing flexibility and productivity, it also introduces new challenges. The most common challenges associated with BYOD have to do with security; however security is not the only challenge that can arise when using BYOD.

Other important challenges include having the right infrastructure management tools in place and introducing another management platform into your already crowded IT manager’s tool belt. These challenges are critical for organizations to think about when moving forward with BYOD.

Do you agree that these two less common BYOD challenges are also important to consider, making this ripe? Or are these two challenges only hype?
