An independent security firm recently completed an assessment confirming Logicalis complies fully with HIPAA security rules and HITECH breach reporting requirements. As an early adopter in providing healthcare IT services, Logicalis started complying with the HIPAA Business Associate agreements of our clients more than a decade ago.

HIPAA requires organizations engaged in handling electronic protected health information (ePHI) to implement policies to secure such information. In addition, HITECH includes provisions that require organizations storing ePHI to implement procedures to report any breach of unprotected ePHI. This most current audit assessment provides tangible documentation of our compliance with these regulations on behalf of our healthcare clients.

Our compliance comes into play for clients using Logicalis cloud, managed and service desk services in the following critical areas:

  • Administrative safeguards
  • Physical safeguards
  • Technical safeguards
  • Organization policies, procedures and documentation requirements
  • Breach notifications
