Plenty of IT leaders aren’t sold on the necessity of VDI.  In fact, several believe it’s just plain overrated.  We found IT leaders saying the following about VDI:

“VDI is a ‘last mile’ technology. With all the isolation/application virtualization, I almost felt like the industry was giving up on SBC too early.”

“VDI or SBC is not the debate to me but the representation of the actual need of the market to define models that actually fit to customers’ needs and the ‘one perfect universal model’ does not exist.”

Despite these comments, others say you can bring applications to almost everyone, everywhere and anytime with VDI. So, what do you think – is VDI overrated (Hype), or is it ready for prime time (Ripe)?
