According to ComputerWorld, at a cloud computing conference in New York in June, a number of speakers pointed out that the cloud is moving past the hype stage and is beginning to deliver tangible benefits to organizations. They said cloud is the root of improvements like increased flexibility and agility.
However, we do know moving to the cloud can also mean added costs, some of which might be unexpected, according to IT leaders whose organizations have implemented cloud services or are considering them.
So what is your opinion? Has the cloud proven its benefits to organizations (Ripe), or are there IT leaders who still doubt the cost/value relationship (Hype)?
