Last month, we were honored to receive the inaugural 2023 Cisco Global Sustainability Partner of the Year award during Cisco’s Global Partner Summit event in Miami. This prestigious accolade acknowledges Logicalis’ exceptional sustainability achievements and success in helping customers reduce the environmental impact of their digital ecosystems across the globe.
Logicalis US received a special mention for their sustainability efforts and is currently rolling out the Logicalis award-winning Digital Fabric Platform, which empowers customers to assess and reduce the environmental impact of their IT infrastructure.
Here are some key Logicalis and Cisco areas we’re co-collaborating on to deliver value and open new opportunities to drive sustainable practices for our customers, environment, and planet.
Educating the market
This year, we’ve organized high-profile events to raise sustainability awareness and support our customers’ sustainability goals. Our April LinkedIn Live webinar saw Denise Lee, Cisco’s VP Sustainability Engineering Office, and Bob Bailkoski, Logicalis’ CEO, discussing the benefits of sustainable business. The event gathered over 1,000 attendees worldwide. At our June CIO Summit, titled ‘Forging a Path to Sustainable IT,’ Cisco shared expertise in delivering sustainable solutions, engaging in a fireside chat with Bjoern Stengel from IDC to explore transformative actions for IT leaders. These events have led to numerous ESG strategy conversations with customers as we help them develop solutions to support the achievement of their carbon goals.Innovating for sustainability
At the core of what we do is our award-winning Managed Digital Fabric Platform.
Our Managed Digital Fabric Platform was created to give our customers a real-time view of how their entire digital ecosystem is performing across key metrics, including environmental impact. It also provides comprehensive recommendations to reduce a customer’s carbon impact based on their existing solution’s energy usage.
This technology integration and data telemetry are at the core of our sustainability strategy with Cisco. We’re working to integrate the Energy Optimization Management service – powered by Cisco Lifecycle Services – and our monitoring platforms to drive real-time measurements, optimizing our customers’ sustainability KPIs and ensuring ESG compliance.
In addition, we are providing assessments on their current Cisco estate to any customer not currently consuming our digital managed service. This allows them to understand their current carbon footprint and energy consumption, supporting them to renew and refresh in the most economical and sustainable way possible.
Environmentally specialized in 15 countries!
We build sustainable business outcomes into everything we do, and we currently hold Cisco’s Environmental Sustainability Specialization in 15 countries worldwide.
We are incredibly proud to be leveraging our environmental sustainability specialization to access Cisco’s Takeback and Reuse program to responsibly repurpose and recycle end-of-use equipment. Several customers already use the Cisco Takeback program, for example, GJames in Australia.
Smart Buildings and Intelligent Connectivity
We’re also collaboratively growing our sustainability business by deploying solutions that enable smart buildings and intelligent connectivity. For example, we’ve jointly empowered a Portuguese energy company to maximize its water & energy consumption, efficiency, and sustainability. And we recently collaborated with the leading ocean research organization in the UK to provide their climate research vessels with secure connectivity powered by Cisco and Logicalis.
In this space of sustainability, it’s important to have long-standing partnerships with trusted partners such as Cisco. Cross-collaboration is crucial to powering progress in a world as interconnected as our own. As sustainability initiatives continue to move at pace, so will we in shaping our efforts and supporting everyone in our orbit to make an impact.
Every contribution matters: we can make a genuine, positive impact together.
