A recent CIO.com interview presents the idea that healthcare IT security is harder than other area of IT security.  The argument is that the health care industry has a number of challenges that make the security architect’s job, the CSO’s job, much more difficult than in financial services and most other industries. Plus, they suggest it’s more difficult for healthcare technologists to predict transaction flow and how data will be used.
