One aspect of IT that can be both exciting and challenging is that it is always changing. As soon as IT professionals have gotten a handle on the new technologies, new standards, new languages and new methodologies there is something to replace these things. And IT seems to completely reinvent itself about twice every decade.

Most IT professionals embrace new ways of doing business, increasing and expanding their knowledge along the way. However, it can also be tempting to stick with the familiar, even if it is no longer the most efficient or effective way of doing things.

As an IT professional is it hard for you to embrace new ways of doing things? Or are you excited for the challenge?
