We have all heard enough about the cloud and the best way to use it. However, maybe we should be asking what additional good, aside from a flexible, efficient, scalable infrastructure, can come from using cloud solutions.
Storing, managing and extracting value from data consumes a great deal of energy. Yes, this increase in data and energy consumption is somewhat manageable, but at the pace it is growing, it soon won’t be. An innovative solution is needed to adjust and respond to this trend. Cloud computing offers a new approach.
