According to an IDG Enterprise survey, more than 50 percent of US companies already have at least one application in the cloud. Sixty-four percent of companies acknowledge that cloud computing could mean higher costs in the short term, but will be more cost efficient in the long term. When weighing these advantages, up to 71 percent of companies anticipate increasing their cloud spending over the next year.

These companies see the cloud as a clear advantage to their company, not only for its benefits in IT, but for overall financial expenditures of the company.
