Since Hurricane Sandy arrived right before the election and things were not back to normal by the time Election Day came New Jersey had to create different ways to get its people to the polls. The state of New Jersey decided to make it easier for their residents to still place their Presidential votes by allowing them to vote by email or fax instead of going to the polls.

Does this give us a sneak peek into the future of voting? We have the technology available that citizens could soon be voting from the comfort of their own homes, but this would bring a new set of voting security issues. It will also bring a new set of voting fairness issues, with not everyone in America having access to a computer and internet access in their home.

Do you believe we will begin to see new ways of voting in the next few years and this is ripe? Or do you think these changes are hype? Share your thoughts about potential voting changes in the comments below.
