While Mobile Device Management (MDM) can seem like chaos to someone trying to control BYOD in a company, it does have the possibility to keep things under control while still allowing employees to happily use their devices. MDM has become a means of control of the many devices that employees bring into a company.
ZDnet suggests that small businesses look into a cloud-hosted management tool for their MDM. This can help smaller companies push policies into a device and make sure that the device is in compliance before allowing it to download mail.
ZDnet suggests that larger organization consider integrating MDM with existing systems management solutions. The primary concerns for larger organizations will be on device security and ensuring users are running appropriate software.
Do you agree with ZDnet’s suggestions for small and large organizations when it comes to MDM and therefore think this is ripe? Or do you believe these suggestions are hype?
